Feast Of Tabernacles: Interesting Teaching And Significance Of The Water Libation Ceremony (Jim Staley)

THIS IS WORTH THE READ. INTERESTING READ TO GAIN UNDERSTANDING OF THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE WATER LIBATION (WATER/BLOOD) CEREMONY, HOW IT ALL TIES TOGETHER WITH THE DATE OF MARY’S CONCEPTION, BIRTH OF MESSIAH AND THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES. YESHUA WAS NOT CONCEIVED ON 12/25 (CHRISTMAS) SO IT IS NOT CONCEPTION DAY. GET OUT OF THE MANMADE HOLIDAYS AND THAT MINDSET AND YOU WILL THEN GARNER UNDERSTANDING. WE ARE CALLED TO LEARN AND NOT JUST ACCEPT MANMADE TRADITIONS BUT TO COME OUT FROM UNDER THEM.

The Water Libation Ceremony

This ceremony is quite possibly one of the most powerful and incredibly prophetic ceremonies in all of biblical times: the water libation ceremony. It happened during the Feast of Sukkot and was unquestionably the most popular part of the week-long celebration. As a matter of fact, the ancient Jewish sages emphatically stated, “Whoever has never seen the celebrations of the Festival of the water libation has never experienced true joy in his life” (ibid.5,1). It was said that the lights from the celebration at the Temple were so bright that they caused shadows in villages six miles away! What was it about this celebration within a celebration that made it so surreal, so fantastic, that someone could actually say that if you hadn’t participated in it you had never experienced true joy? What on earth is a water libation anyway, and why is it so significant for us today? Well, that is exactly what we are about to find out.

The first element in understanding the water libation ceremony is to understand a little bit about water. First of all, water was more precious than gold in ancient times. Cities and villages were formed around it, sustained by it, and in some cases wars were raged because of it. Once you controlled the water, you could easily control the people. From it came the sustenance of all life. It either came from deep in the ground or from the heavens above. The people’s crops, animals, and their very lives depended on each and every drop. As a matter of fact, water was so intimately connected to life, and they were so dependent on it, that the very name water in Hebrew is found in the word for heavens. In Hebrew, water is “mayim” /my-eem”/. The word for heavens is “shemayim” which contains both the words “shem” and “mayim.” Shem means “name,” and mayim again means “water.” So, the word shemayim (heavens) means “water that comes from the name,” or, more specifically, the Name above all names. The ancient Israelites were completely dependent on Yahweh to send the rain. When they were slaves in Egypt, they were made to run on water wheels to force the water from the reservoirs into the fields. God promised them that, in the Promised Land, He would take care of the rain and they would never have to be hamsters again.

Before we go any further, let’s stop and take that in for a second. Water was virtually always connected to blessing because of its intimate connection to life. The very first time water is mentioned in the Bible is when “the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters” (Genesis 1). Because of this, it’s been concluded that one can always tell God’s anointing on someone when from their life flows living waters that bring life to everyone they touch. In other words, their anointing is not manufactured, manipulated, or self-generated; it simply flows from them as they receive from the shemayim (heavens). How often do we run on the hamster wheels of life, trying our best to produce something for ourselves or for God, when all along it is His desire that He do all the hard work and we just stay in proper alignment to receive it? Anointing comes from being in proper alignment with the heavenly reservoir from which all water flows. If we are under the spout, the glory will come out! Most of us spend our time trying to experience God through our own methods rather than spending our time seeking to just be in alignment with Him and His ways. How often do we get ahead of God by trying to make something happen instead of putting our full trust in Him for the solution (the water) that can only come from Him? When we truly sit back and trust in Him for the solution, the water will come.

As we get back to our subject at hand, where did they get the water that they used for the water libation ceremony? It could have come from the Jordan River. That would make sense. It could have come from the Mediterranean Sea, a nearby well, etc., but it didn’t. It came from the Pool of Siloam which was at the base of Mt. Moriah from which the Temple stood. This one-acre pool and its steps up to the Temple have been found in archeology. For those of you who have been with me to Israel, we have sat on these very steps. It is quite a tremendous site and experience. It was at this very pool that Yeshua healed the blind man with the dirt mixed with His own saliva. It was in this pool that each and every visitor to the Temple had to be fully immersed—going in unclean on one side and coming out ceremonially clean on the other side. They were given a new white robe, and then they ascended the hill of the Lord on their way to the Temple grounds. This water was the chosen, anointed water of God that everyone had to pass through in order to come into the presence of Yahweh. In much the same way, the Israelites all had to pass through the Red Sea in order to come into His presence at Mt. Sinai. Anyone who desires to come to the Father must first go through the deep, cleansing power of the water of the Word: Yeshua Himself. Once they submit to His cleansing waters, they are given a new robe of life and commissioned to climb each and every stair step until they reach glory. Going through the waters was only the very first step. It is only the very first step. No one was ever meant to stay at the bottom of the hill and hang out in the pool. We were meant to ascend from that which is lower to that which is higher.

Psalm 24:3

“Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.”

So let’s set the stage: There are over a million people in Jerusalem and in the surrounding villages. There is music, dancing in the streets, and more food than you can imagine. It is a world’s fair environment with trumpets blowing, kids playing, and rabbis teaching large groups of people all over the city. The priests are decked out in their finest, and sacrifices are continually being offered on the altar throughout the day. By the end of the Feast, seventy bulls will have been offered in commemoration of the seventy nations of the world. (The Israelites were the only culture in the known world that actually cared enough about the rest of the world to make sacrifices on their behalf!) The entire Temple grounds are decorated with full trees that were cut from the four required species of Leviticus 23. There is greenery everywhere, and a joy so fills the air that it is almost tangible. It is beautiful beyond compare.

When it is time for the procession, thousands upon thousands of people crowd the walkways to and from the Pool of Siloam. They are there to witness this glorious event as the priests make their way down from the Temple to capture a large jar full of water. The trumpets are sounding; the tambourines, flutes, and lyres can be heard above the crowd. The levitical singers are in full array, and people are clapping and dancing everywhere.

As the priest bends on one knee before the water, the crowd falls silent—soaking up this momentous occasion. The water jar is pushed down into the surface of the water capturing the once cleansing waters from the base of the mountain. Now it will be brought up and used for a higher purpose. Once the jar is lifted, the crowd roars once again as the almost wedding-like processional heads back up the mountain to the House of God.

The jubilant crowd reaches the Temple Mount, walks through the water gate, and continues to the Temple grounds. Once back inside the Temple courts, the water is paraded into the outer court and up the ramp of the altar where the priest stands at attention. When the signal is given, he will pour the water into a groove running down the southwestern corner of the altar. But the water is not the only component to this ceremony. Another priest carries an item of tremendous significance that will also be poured out on the altar into an adjacent groove. This priest is carrying the blood of the sacrifice, and it will be poured out at the exact same time as the water. Because blood is thicker than water, the groove for the blood, which runs parallel to the groove for the water, is larger in diameter. Both liquids will reach the base of the altar at the exact same time.

The reasons for this ceremony reach far and wide. In the most simplistic terms, they were tithing. They were taking part of the water that Yahweh had given them and pouring it back out before Him as a way of saying ‘Thank You’—as well as asking Him for another year of bountiful rains for their crops. Saying ‘Thank You’ is part of the relationship process of giving and receiving. The Israelites understood that one had to sacrifice in order to gain. Although to some it might appear that they were wasting the very substance that brought them life, they understood that it was Yahweh who actually brought life. This was their way of truly honoring Him for His constant care of them throughout the year.

We see this same concept in Mathew 26 when a woman at Simon’s house anoints Yeshua’s head with a very costly alabaster flask of oil. The disciples were upset with her that she wasted such an expensive oil, but Yeshua gently explained to them the spiritual significance of the investment she was making. She may have lost the expensive oil, but Yeshua said she would forever be mentioned in the giving of the gospel—as an honor to what she did. Whenever we let go of something that is precious for the sake of the kingdom of God, the reward is always greater than the investment. For a little, in the hands of God, can be multiplied exponentially. I bet that little boy had no idea that his plate full of fish and bread would actually feed five thousand people either. Small offerings produce staggering results in the Kingdom.

This process of water drawing was taking something from the lowest part of the mountain (i.e., the water from the Pool of Siloam) and elevating it to the highest part of the mountain: the very altar itself. The entire sacrificial system revolved around taking something that belongs to us and giving it to God therefore transforming what was earthly into something of Kingdom nature. This is the point of tithing and giving offerings as well. When we “sacrifice” what belongs to us, we are taking that which is earthly and giving a portion back to God as a way of saying ‘Thank You’ for all of His continued provision in our lives. Both the offering and the offeror become elevated to a higher position when the giving is done with a cheerful heart.

In the case of the water libation ceremony, the two most precious, life-containing items – water and blood – were poured out at the feet of God so to speak. Both pointed to the very sustenance and foundation of every single member of the people of God. Water. Blood. Running together.

John 19:34

“But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.”

There is no greater fulfillment of this beautiful prophetic message of water and blood flowing together than at the very cross of Christ. Where the two main sources of life were poured out on the altar as a thanksgiving offering and an investment for the future, so the Messiah willingly poured out His life as an offering as well. All that seek to be saved must prophetically take part in this wonderful water libation ceremony that ends in so much joy. They must be immersed in the water of the Word and accept the work of the blood of Yeshua. The water and the blood must mix into the very fabric of our souls.

One of the great scriptures read on the last Great Day of the Feast was Isaiah chapter 12. It reads as follows:

Isaiah 12

“O LORD, I will praise You. Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me. Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid. For Yah, the LORD, is my strength and song. He also has become my salvation. Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And in that day you will say: “Praise the LORD, call upon His name. Declare His deeds among the peoples, and make mention that His name is exalted. Singto the LORD, for He has done excellent things. This is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”

This chapter was THE chapter that set the significance for the water libation ceremony. The real power and significance of this chapter is in the actual Hebrew itself. The word “salvation” in our English Bibles is the word Yeshua in Hebrew—which is the same name as our Messiah! Take a look at how that changes everything!

Verse 2: “Behold, God is my Yeshua and I will trust and not be afraid. For Yah, the LORD, is my strength and my song. He also has become my Yeshua!”

Verse 3: “Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of Yeshua!”

This makes the last verse come truly alive when it says: “Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”

The entire chapter is about Yeshua: trusting in Him, drawing our true water from Him, and praising Him for being in our midst! Now that we understand more about the water of libation and its prophetic connection to Yeshua, John 7:37 comes to life like never before.

John 7:37

“On the last day, that great day of the feast, Yeshua stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, “out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
Right here in this statement, Yeshua says that HE was the water that they were parading around. HE was the water that gave them life, and if anyone drank of Him, they would never be thirsty again. HE was the entire point of the water libation ceremony to begin with! It was all about Him! He was the eternal well of salvation that could take one from a lower position at the base of the mountain and bring them to the top of the mountain into perfect communion with Him!

The water libation ceremony was something that they did every day of the feast, and it culminated on the last Great Day in the final act of pouring the water out onto the altar. With palm branches in their hands, the people would march around the altar as the priest poured out the golden jar of water. On the eighth day, they marched around it seven times to commemorate the seven circuits around the walls of Jericho that caused them to come tumbling down.

This ceremony has far-reaching implications in our own lives today. Daily, we are to pour ourselves out before the altar of God giving Him thanks for all He has done and continues to do in our lives. Daily, we are to remember the blood of our Messiah that was shed for us and how much we need His blood to cover us each and every day. We should come to Him with thanksgiving in our hearts: with clean hands and a pure heart. We are to not come before Him empty handed or be “tight handed” with what He has given us. But instead, we should be more than willing to give of the fruit of our labor so as to say ‘Thank You’ to the One who truly deserves our gratitude.

This is a time to remember that it is the Spirit of God that brings life and flows out from our bellies when we drink only from His well. And when we put our faith and trust in Him, the giants fall and the walls around our inheritance crumble to the ground without us even lifting a single finger.

May this day be to you a cleansing day where you are taken deeper into the Pool of Siloam to become completely submersed in the greatness of who He is and what He desires to do in your life. Pour yourself out this day, and watch Him pour something far greater inside of you that will fill you up to overflowing measures!

Part 2: When Was Jesus Born?

When Was Jesus Born? First of all, why is this even an important question? Well, how well would it go for you to celebrate your spouse’s birthday, or one of your kids’ birthdays, on the wrong day? Worse yet, what if you chose to celebrate your wife’s birthday on the same day as one of your old girlfriend’s birthdays? How well would that go over? This question is relevant because the scriptures command us to follow the Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth, so help us God. We would call it disrespectful to change your wife’s birthday to a different day. Yet when it comes to the Son of God, we have taken the position that it doesn’t matter? I am of the position that most of us would teach our children that even the smallest lie is not acceptable. So in order for us to discover when Yeshua was actually born, I think it’s important to know when He was not born.

It’s no secret that December 25th, Christmas, is the time that almost all Christians celebrate the birth of Christ. But few actually know why they celebrate it on that day or where the celebration originally came from. The origins of this holiday are so rooted in paganism, hedonism, and sexual immorality that it was actually outlawed in the United States all the way up until the late 1800s. The short version is that it originates with the very Baal of the bible.

Baal was Noah’s great grandson and built the cities of Nineveh and Babel. When he died, he was deified and became the infamous sun god of virtually every culture around the world. He was known by different names in different cultures, but his original identity remained the same. He was the head god of the underworld.

Ancient Roman culture had a twelve-day feast called the Feast of Saturnalia during the winter solstice at the end of December. This is where we get the twelve days of Christmas. It was a drunken feast filled with debauchery and sexual immorality as they believed that the mistletoe and evergreen trees were symbols of fertility and new growth. The evergreen tree was a phallic symbol of the sun god and the people would decorate it with twelve candles and gold and silver balls in symbolism of all that is unholy. Originally, an eight-pointed star was placed on the top of the evergreen tree as it was the symbol of the Roman sun god.

Although he was called by many names in different cultures around the world, his attributes are strikingly similar. Our modern day “sun god” comes cloaked in red and white and bears gifts for children. He originated from the Scandinavian culture where he was called Odin. Odin had a long white beard, carried a crosier stick, was all-knowing, all-powerful, and traveled around the world at night once a year. His eight-legged horse and two blackjacks would eventually be transformed into eight reindeer and elves. He would give gifts to children if they had been good that year and his blackjacks would beat the children if they had been bad. Over time, his name became Sinterclaus in Europe and, of course, the infamous Santa Claus here in the States.

Odin’s origins are of old and are directly connected to Lucifer himself, that imposter of Christ that pretends to be all-knowing, has snow white hair and a white beard, is omnipresent, keeps a book of works, and cares for children. In the Shakespearean era, when publicly-performed plays were popular, demonic characters would announce their entrances with a, “Ho, Ho, Ho.” And yes, that is exactly where Santa’s version of it comes from. The difference between the true Giver of heavenly gifts and this imposter is that this modern day sun god travels and operates in the dark, comes down chimneys through fire, and has no agenda of leading our children in the truth, but rather of increasing the lust of the flesh and the material garnishments of this life that lead to making life all about the self. No wonder it was illegal to celebrate Christmas here in the United States when it was still the thirteen British colonies. They knew its sinister history. And these are just a few details of the origins of the holiday. For a full historical analysis of both Christmas and Easter, I encourage you to watch my full length documentary on the subject called Truth or Tradition. It’s available online.

So now that we know when the Messiah was NOT born, we can finally answer the question of when he was by looking into the scriptures and putting together the pieces of the mystery. Our journey starts with Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist.

Luke 1:5

There was in the day of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.

The “division of Abijah” will be very important in just a moment. For now, let’s find out when the angel appeared to him.

Luke 1: 11

Then the angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

This tells us that Zacharias was in the Temple, which means that the time period during which he was visited was while performing his priestly duties. Gabriel tells him that his wife Elizabeth will conceive and bear a son in her old age and that they are to name him John.

Luke 1: 23-25

So it was, as soon as the days of his service were completed, that he departed to his own house. 24 Now after those days his wife Elizabeth conceived and she hid herself for five months, saying, 25 ‘Thus the Lord has dealt with me, to take away my reproach among people.’

So right “after those days” of his temple service, he went home and Elizabeth became pregnant and hid herself for five months. Now we need to tie this to the date that Mary gets pregnant with the Savior. The scriptures give us that timeline in the exact same chapter:

Luke 1:26-27, 31

Now in the sixth month [of Elizabeth’s pregnancy] the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth. 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary…31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son of the Highest and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.

So let’s put together what we have so far. Elizabeth gets pregnant right when her husband comes back home after serving in the Temple. Six months later, Mary gets pregnant with Yeshua. This means that Mary will give birth six months after John the Baptist is born. So all we have to do now is find out when Zacharias came back from his service in the Temple and we’ll know exactly when Yeshua was born. To do this, we need to go back and find out when the “division of Abijah” served in the Temple. We can find the descriptions of the divisions in 1 Chronicles chapter 24.

1 Chronicles 24:10

the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

In the priestly system, the Levitical priests each took “shifts” serving in the Temple throughout the year. There was a schedule of service that consisted of twenty-four divisions, each of which served one week at a time, twice a year. There are two calendars that are represented in the bible. There’s the civil calendar which was the official calendar of the kings, childbirth, and for contracts. This calendar began with Tishrei 1, which is called Rosh Hashanah today. It falls in our September/October. The other calendar is the religious calendar, which dealt with the things having to do with the priests and the Feast Days were calculated. This calendar starts on the Hebrew month of Nisan 1, our March/April. And it is from this calendar that the priestly divisions started.

Now that we know the week of the first division, we can count forward eight weeks to arrive at the beginning of Zacharias’ first week of service in the Temple: near the last week of the month of Iyar. There is no way to know the exact day on which Elizabeth gets pregnant once he’s back home, but it’s safe to believe that it happened sometime during the month of Iyar. The gestational period for a child in the womb is forty weeks. This puts the birth of John right during the Feast of Passover the next spring! And this is no surprise as the scriptures say in Luke that he is to come in the spirit of Elijah and will be the forerunner to the Messiah. It has always been understood in Judaism that Elijah will come during Passover. To this day, every practicing Jew will leave an empty chair at the Passover table for him and will even, at one point in the Seder, get up and go open the front door, symbolically inviting him in. For John to be born during Passover is no surprise at all.

So now that we know when John was born, calculating the birth of Jesus/Yeshua involves plain math. Because we know from Luke’s narrative that Mary was three months pregnant when John was born, we simply count forward another six months to find out exactly when she gave birth to our Savior. And again, not surprisingly, Yeshua’s birth lands right at the beginning of the Feast of Tabernacles, where He tabernacled among men. John was born during the first Feast Day and Yeshua was born during the last one, called simply “The Great Feast,” that massive end-of-the-year celebration where all of Israel was traveling to Jerusalem to celebrate the Harvest Festival. Little did they know how great a celebration it really was that year!

Further evidence of His being born during the Feast of Sukkot (our September/October) is the fact that the narrative says in Luke 2:8 that the shepherds were still out in the fields tending their flocks. If He’d have been born at the end of December, the shepherds wouldn’t have been spread so far out in the fields; they would have been tending their flocks closer to shelter during those much colder winter evenings. Secondly, Caesar Augustus of Rome called a census that year and would never have done so during the winter months where travel was difficult and the weather not optimal. Logic says that the best time to do a census would be when the people were already traveling to Jerusalem…which was during the Feast of Sukkot!

Another important point: Yeshua was not born in just any little town. Few people know that Bethlehem’s very name is made up of two Hebrew words: beit, which means “house,” and lechem, meaning “bread.” Bethlehem literally means “House of Bread.” This was THE Levitical village where the holy bread for the priests working in the Temple as well as the olive oil for the menorah that lit it was made. Furthermore, this is where the Yom Kippur goats and the Passover lamb, the most important animals in all of Israel, were raised. This was the birthplace of King David, the burial place of Rachel, the threshing floor of Ruth and Boaz, and was also a military outpost. The prophetic history in this little place could not be thicker.

Think about this for just a moment… Mary, nine months pregnant, was rejected because “there was no room in the Inn?” I don’t think so. It would have been anathema for their family and friends to not make room for them with her being with child. The more likely truth is that she was shunned because everyone knew that she was pregnant out of wedlock and no one would have believed a crazy story of her having conceived by the Holy Spirit. So she and Joseph were sent over to a barn in which she could give birth. Since God is a God of perfect prophecy and extreme prophetic detail, could it be that the Lamb of God was actually born in THE Levitical barn in which the Passover Lamb and Yom Kippur goats were raised? Could He have been placed in THE manger (feeding trough) from which the Passover Lamb fed? There’s no doubt in my mind that that’s what happened. Their rejection led to a prophetic promotion. Don’t ever forget that formula. Rejection by men always leads to promotion with the God of Israel.

And if all that wasn’t enough, because we know the time of His birth, we can back date it to the time of the miraculous conception. And that just so happens to be at the end of Chislev, our December, during the Feast of Dedication, better known as Hanukkah. This feast is called The Festival of Lights and Yeshua is called the Light of the world! It’s a memorial feast to remember when the Jews won back the temple from the Greeks who had desecrated it almost two hundred years earlier. The menorah of the temple became the central symbol of this holiday and the menorah always represented the Word of God. We believers know exactly who that Word of God actually is. Yeshua was conceived prophetically during this eight-day festival as a representation of the real Light of the world that would come and liberate the temples of men, setting them free from the real enemy who originally desecrated it. Every Jew and Messianic Christian in the world puts out a candlestick, called a Hanukkia, during the Festival of Lights to remember that historical day. Today, that same Light is to be displayed in our lives for all to see!

As you can see, understanding the biblical calendar is critical to understanding not just the birthday of our Messiah, but to understanding almost every other subject in the bible. The Feast of Sukkot is no different. It’s the most exciting festival of the year. And now you can understand a little more of the reasons why. Our Savior was conceived during the Festival of Dedication as the Light of the world and was born during the Feast of Tabernacles where He sprang forth to tabernacle among men. May each of us carry His Light deep inside our temporary dwelling places (sukkahs) and let it shine brightly for the whole world to see!

Shalom,

Jim Staley

The Temple Where Satan Dwells (AWordFromTheLordBlog)

The Temple Where Satan Dwells (AWordFromTheLordBlog)

The Temple where Satan Dwells

I dwell in temples who invite My Spirit in.  These temples are of My own doing, for I create them by the power of resurrection.  It is beyond anyone’s capability and doing.  I sanctify a soul, for My presence to come and dwell.  I am Holy, and so anyone who accommodates Me is to be holy.  I do not allow the profane to dwell and will work continually to cleanse My vessels of its filth.  My temples are found in the Spirit of God, where no man or foe can touch.  When a man first invites Me to enter, I have a small place and it is My work to expand in each vessel My presence in them.  As they lay down what I convict them, and follow in what I teach them, they will grow In Me within them.

Alternatively, Satan takes the vessels of carnal man and dwells there.  His temple is the lustful flesh of man.  He will seek to devour the entire soul of a man, through his own lustful flesh.  He uses great and well laid schemes to accomplish many a down fall of godly men, through their own flesh.  The war is on, and Paul has described it well (Romans 7) between the carnal man and the spirit.

It is day by day that My servants must live and choose who they will serve.  For be assured, who you serve is who you worship and who will be the voice to direct you.  Understand that there is danger for all who continue to live serving their flesh in its lusts.  Satan will never let up in bringing enticements to snare victims into his web.  Do not think that because you have the Holy Spirit in you, you are safe from Satan’s schemes!   No, each time you are presented with temptation, this is great instruction for you – in what you must yet crucify!  For he only entices to what remains alive in you!  He will arouse in you, what you must yet kill.  Do not be ignorant to his schemes, he never rests to steal from you, to destroy and even kill you.

I give all who are Mine, the Kingdom of God and all the power and resources to overcome the devil’s strategy.  But understand, that what he will tempt you with, will be subtle and if you are not alert in the Word and communion with the Living God – continually – he will be like a magician who lulls one into  well laid trap.  I give all of Mine the means to stay sharp, able to perceive and discern what is going on around them. My Word is a sharp two-edged sword able to divide soul and spirit!  This comes with discipline of the body, of the mind and the soul.  Be transformed by the renewing of your mind – and get My Word into you!  A great warrior does not earn his notoriety by being slack in his conduct.  He becomes great by his own discipline and understanding what his cause and purpose is so he will not be easily deviated.    So are all who are Mine.  The weak in heart and mind will be easily wooed to wander off away from Me.

My people must understand that there is a danger they live in – daily, and that is to be servant to the lust of their own flesh.

Too many, who say they are Mine, are in fact slaves of their own flesh!   For in reality to be a slave of serving your flesh, you are under the obedience of sin.  In this Satan governs your every move.  There seems to be a disconnect in understanding the danger one is under when they live to serve and please the lusts of the flesh.  Those who do – though they count themselves as My servants – who they truly serve is revealed.   They are a deceived people thinking they can serve two masters.  This can never be.  The rule of one’s own flesh easily leads many and they are deceived because they don’t understand that they are under another’s rule and are committing idolatry and they do not realize they deny the Spirit His place in their lives.  It is like the one who gives place to the rich prominent man a good chair that is comfortable and then says to the lowly, you go there – sit on the floor in the back; James 2.  Many do this to the Living God as they give place to the showy and prominent (their flesh) while they deny Me My rightful place leaving Me in the back dark recess of their lives.  Only when it serves their purposes they call Me to the front, offer Me their petitions and give ritual thanks and praise then they leave Me where I fade into the back of all they think and do.  They don’t realize what they do, because they give no thought to what they do.  Where there heart is, so is all what they treasure.  Their lives prove My absence.  There are so many who live this way that it goes unnoticed for the most part among each other.   Then when you have those who serve Me where I am given place of honor in their lives, they are not well accepted in groups and assemblies such as this.  They are counted as fanatic and counter to the god they serve and are ignored or even rejected.  I do not dwell in anyone who despises My company and despise those who are Mine and serve Me.  Those who walk according to their own lustful flesh, will only reap sin and corruption.  There is deceit in sin so as to many do not even count sin as sin!  Many do not count lust of the flesh, pride of their eyes as evil in My sight!  So, when anyone lives according to how I prescribe them to, they are hated even by those who say they follow after Me!  Lovers of this world bear its fruit and drink its poison that will steal, destroy and kill them.  They trip over their own sin, and call it a satanic attack and begin calling down the host of heaven against it!  They do not see how foolish they are and what they invite in, as they conduct such foolishness!   Their own lack of knowledge, by their own admission – brings them to the place of death!  Death to right thinking.  Death to hearing the Word.  And eventually, death to dying both spiritually and physically.  They perish – because they refuse to go to the Well for their drink and prefer to go to their own cisterns to taste the poison of their choice.   I call all day long, because this is not My will for anyone!  I speak out all day long, to point them where they must go.  But ears that will not hear will only become deaf against My voice.  I would say to all who hear Me now, ask me for the ears to hear – so they may see how they must flee from their lusts into the Living God who forgives all who repents of their sin.   To those who are deaf and of hardened heart, hear Me today so you may hear My voice and humble yourself before Me, turn from your wicked way and repent and I will come to you in My own mercy and grace and forgive you.

TIME OF REJOICING: BIBLICAL FEAST OF TABERNACLES AND WHAT IT MEANS FOR US

TIME OF REJOICING: BIBLICAL FEAST OF TABERNACLES AND WHAT IT MEANS FOR US

BIBLICAL FEAST OF TABERNACLES OR FEAST OF INGATHERING

This is a brief overview of the biblical holy day called the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) it is also called the Feast of Ingathering because it was observed after all the crops had been harvested and gathered. It begins at Sundown on October 13th and ends at nightfall on Sunday October 20th. It is the seventh and concluding holy day on the Almighty’s biblical calendar (Leviticus 23:33-44, 23:16). Tabernacles is a time of great rejoicing. It is the seventh feast, in the seventh month, and we are to “rejoice before Yahveh [the Lord] our God for seven days” (Leviticus 23:40). Seven is the Almighty God’s number and it refers to His perfection and completion. The Feast of Tabernacles is a prophetic preview, it points to the fullness of the God of Israel’s plan of salvation to tabernacle (dwell) among His blood-redeemed remnant, composed of both redeemed Jews and Gentiles. It points to the ultimate eternal rejoicing in the long awaited Messianic Kingdom with our God and Savior.

In the seventh month, Tishri, on the biblical calendar, the last three fall feasts occur. At the Feast of Trumpets there is the call for repentance, the Feast of Yom Kippur is redemption through repentant sins being covered and removed by the Lamb’s (Yahshua/Jesus) sacrificial blood. Only after those two feasts are fulfilled can one truly have great rejoicing in the Feast of Tabernacles that points to eternity spent with our Savior and King in His eternal righteous kingdom. All seven biblical feasts are a precise blueprint of our pilgrimage walk through repentance and redemption, leading to eternal rejoicing.

As stated above, Tabernacles is also called the “Feast of Ingathering” that prophetically points to the gathering in of the righteous harvest of those who have worked out their salvation through repentance with their sins covered in the Lamb’s blood (Matthew 13:30). The redeemed remnant are “looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Messiah Yahshua [Christ Jesus]” (Titus 2:13).

Yahshua (Jesus) said, “It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness” in order for us to know the “abundant life” and experience true joy (Matthew 3:15, John 10:10). By the power of the indwelling Spirit we must uphold the righteous commandments of our God and Savior, wholeheartedly repenting for the many times in our thoughts, words, and deeds that we grieve Him by disobeying His Words. Those who “willfully go on sinning” and do not repent, continually dishonor and defame the sacrifice and blood of our Savior (Hebrews 20:26). Sadly, they will never know great rejoicing here on earth or in heaven. Those whose sins are not covered in the Lamb’s blood are not recorded in the book of life, and will not be at the eternal feast of great rejoicing, in the Kingdom. “If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15). Yahshua (Jesus) said to His obedient disciples, above all else you are to  “rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven” in the Lamb’s “book of life” (Luke 10:20, Revelation 20:12).

It’s Midnight Ministries will be presenting an expansive teaching on various aspects of the Feast of Tabernacles. This ongoing series will continue throughout and beyond these prescribed holy days. There is such an urgency in the Spirit, therefore, we must be “redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” “Night is coming, when no one can work” (Ephesians 5:16, John 9:4). The previous teachings on the feasts, concluding with this forthcoming series on Tabernacles, are prophetic and instructional. They are intended to motivate and accelerate us onward and upward in our spiritual walk through the narrow gate that leads to heaven of which our Savior said, “There are few who find it.” “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to” (Matthew 7:14, Luke 13:24). The great Apostle Paul says, “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Messiah”, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Messiah Yahshua [Christ Jesus]” (1 Corinthians 11:1, Philippians 3:14).

The importance and the understanding of this concluding biblical feast is pertinent and motivational for this generation in these final days on this earth as we know it. We are witnessing many signs that point to our coming King and Messiah and His glorious Kingdom. The Holy Spirit is compelling us to be fully prepared with understanding of biblical truth in order to have all of our hope and joy removed from this perishing world and focused on the eternal King, His kingdom, and the infinite joy of being with Him together forever. The fulfillment of Tabernacles will be the fulfillment of unceasing joy because our King and Savior who dwells within His redeemed on earth will dwell with us eternally in His kingdom of righteousness. Our great High Priest Yahshua (Jesus) is making intercession for all of us to be prepared as a Bride for her Bridegroom. Ultimately the Feast of Tabernacles prophetically points to the greatest feast of rejoicing, which is the “marriage supper of the Lamb” (Revelation 19:6-9). The utmost culmination and consummation of joy will be when Yahshua (Jesus) and His blood redeemed righteous bride are united together forever in His eternal holy presence and kingdom. Yahshua says, “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am [dwelling], there you may be also” (John 14:3). Joy, joy, joy, the utmost fulfillment of Tabernacles, the Feast of Ingathering and rejoicing!

The fullness of time and the fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles are near.  It is written, “Keep seeking the things above, where Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth” (Colossians 3:1-2). The Holy Spirit is leading His blood-redeemed remnant out of this world and its temporary worthless preoccupations and cheap thrills. He is directing our hearts and minds to be reprioritized and wholeheartedly focused on seeking and doing the will of God and having our hope and joy in Yahshua (Jesus) and His coming kingdom. It is written, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). It is the eternal feast of rejoicing, joy unspeakable filled with His glory!

Revelation/Teaching: Understand God’s Plan (Pieter Kirstein)

Revelation/Teaching: Understand God’s Plan (Pieter Kirstein)

Understand God’s plan.

 By Pieter Kirstein

Jesus prayed that God’s kingdom must come in earth as it is in heaven yet man wants to escape.

It’s not Satan pouring out judgment.  Satan is only a role player, whereas our God is the scriptwriter and as the Father declared to me about the dragon, the false prophet and the anti – Christ; ” MY CREATION WILL SERVE MY PURPOSES”

Colossians 1:16  For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him.

It is Almighty God who shall shake this generation to its knees through His trumpet judgments as the Father said to me.

This is why in the prophetic window of God’s timing in the prophet Joel we see the commandment to sound the trumpet 🎺.

Why must the trumpet be blown throughout the earth 🌐?

Is it not to awaken the nations and all those who are asleep in the valley of decision?

Joel 2:

 1  Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD comes, for it is near at hand;

2  A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great and strong people; there has not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, through the years of many generations.

We see God’s army 🎖 of soulwinning warriors being released out of the fires of purification to set the world 🌏 on fire 🔥 with the good news of the gospel for the harvest marks the end of the world in this final generation before a new heaven and earth is created by God as Christ declared in Matthew 13:38  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

The harvest ushers in the millennial kingdom of Christ’s rule and reign and we see this confirmed in Isaiah 66:19  And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those of them that escape unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the coastlands afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

20  And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon camels, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

21  And I will also take some of them for priests and for Levites, says the LORD.

22  For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, says the LORD, so shall your descendants and your name remain.

Also Isaiah 65:17-25

Notice in verse 19  And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those of them that escape unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the coastlands afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

These “escaped ones” are God’s witnesses who shall stand in His glory and presence and operate out of His power to bring forth a mighty harvest. They have been marked in the fire. These are they spoken of in Luke 21:36  Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

They shall be raised up to live in His presence through resurrection power because through these glorified vessels the latter rains shall be poured out.

Hosea 6

1  Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for He has torn, and He will heal us; He has smitten, and He will bind us up.

2  After two days will He revive us: on the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight.

3.  Let us know, let us press on to know the LORD: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

Zechariah 10

1  Ask of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to everyone grass in the field.

Then we see that the sons of God are declared as His royal horses in the battle.

3 for the LORD of hosts has visited His flock, the house of Judah, and has made them as His royal horse in the battle.

4  Out of Him came forth the cornerstone, out of him the tent peg, out of Him the battle bow, out of Him every ruler together.

5  And they shall be as mighty men, who tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be put to shame.

Again we see the “escaped ones” who have been purified by fire being sent into the harvest fields in Isaiah 4:2  In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and splendid for them that have escaped of Israel.

3  And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even everyone that is recorded among the living in Jerusalem:

4  When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from its midst by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

We see this same mighty army in Joel 2 and notice that God calls the nations unto repentance through His army  –  4  The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

5. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devours the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

6  Before their face the people shall be in great pain: all faces are drained of color.

7  They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march each one on his way, and they shall not break their ranks:

8  Neither shall one jostle another; they shall walk each one in his path: and when they lunge between the swords, they shall not be wounded.

9  They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

10  The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

11  And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executes his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can endure it?

12  Therefore also now, says the LORD, turn you even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.

Next prophetic confirmation in Psalms 110:2  The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion: rule You in the midst of Your enemies.

3  Your people shall be willing in the day of Your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: you have the dew of your youth. (THIS WOMB OF THE MORNING SPEAKS OF THE DAWN OF THE DAY OF THE LORD)

4  The LORD has sworn, and will not relent, You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

5  The Lord at Your right hand shall strike through kings in the day of His wrath.

6  He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with the dead bodies; He shall crush the heads over many countries.

The same army prophesied in Isaiah 66:14  And when you see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the grass: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward His servants, and His indignation toward His enemies.

15  For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

16  For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

Again we see that those counted worthy to escape shall enjoy the covenant protection of God during the time of shaking in Zephaniah 2

 1  Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;

2  Before the decree comes forth, before the day passes like the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD comes upon you, before the day of the LORD’S anger comes upon you.

3  Seek you the LORD, all you meek of the earth, who have kept His commands; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be you shall be hidden in the day of the LORD’S anger.

The false Jezebelic prophets of Baal and the prophets of Asherah will carry on spewing forth deception about the times and seasons we are in through their Python inspired divination but I say to you this day that they shall all be exposed and put to shame as time progresses.

God said to me about the time of the tribulation according to Isaiah 60 “I will use the darkness of the tribulation at the background like a canvas to amplify My glory on the forefront “

Isaiah 60

1  Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

2  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you.

Are we so blind that we cannot discern God’s prophetic plan revealed to us throughout scripture in the writings of the old prophets?

We see a glorious church rising in the midst of increased darkness being sent forth to reap a mighty harvest.

3  And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

4  Lift up your eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to you: your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side.

Then we see exactly what the Father declared to me recently about the wealth transfer. Please notice that as soon as the sons of God rises to power through the power of Holy Spirit resurrection we enter the realm and the authority of the overcomers and the rod of iron comes forth by which the Father shall strike the dragon to release the end-time transfer of wealth that shall finance the harvest.

Then you shall see, and flow together, and your heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto you, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto you.

6  The multitude of camels shall cover your land, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall show forth the praises of the LORD.

7  All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto you: they shall come up with acceptance on my altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.

Now notice the exact same prophetic pattern and reality in Joel.

Again we rise and shine in the midst of great darkness as God’s glory rises upon us and we are sent forth to reap the harvest of souls through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Joel 2

1  Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD comes, for it is near at hand;

2  A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains (KINGDOM AGE DAWNING THROUGH THE SHAKING OF ALL THINGS) : a great and strong people; there has not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, through the years of many generations.

Then again we see God’s blessing and restoration breaking forth upon His people who just came out of their dry wilderness season through the pathway of the cross unto the death of self.

Joel 2:22  Be not afraid, you beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring up, for the tree bears her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

23  Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he has given you the former rain faithfully, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

24  And the threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

25  And I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, and the consuming locust, and the cutting locust, my great army which I sent among you.

26  And you shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, who has dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

27  And you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

We see the judgment of God coming forth to sift out the wheat from the chaff.

Joel 3

1  For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,

2  I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will enter into judgment with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and have divided up my land.

We see the end-time harvest of souls coming in during the time of tribulation. We see God’s clear protection upon His people on them that dwell in Zion which is the heavenly Jerusalem and kingdom of God.

9  Proclaim you this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:

10  Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

11  Assemble yourselves, and come, all you nations, and gather yourselves together round about: there cause your mighty ones to come down, O LORD.

12  Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the nations round about.

13  Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the vats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

14  Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

15  The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

16  The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

17  So shall you know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

18  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth from the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

19  Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

20  But Judah shall dwell forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.

21  For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwells in Zion.
