A Season Of Transition And Strategic Placement – Terri Hill

Yesterday, I saw a picture, a vision of a large chessboard. Then I saw a huge hand that was above the chessboard, descending down upon the pieces. I saw the “movement” of the pieces from one place (square) to another as directed by this mighty hand.
Chess is a game of strategy and maneuvering, played on a chessboard by two players. Each player has 16 pieces, being limited in movement according to their kind: there are kings, queens, bishops, knights, rooks (castles) and pawns. There are 8 rows and columns referred to as the “rank and file”. In the game of chess, the players make alternative moves until one wins by “checkmating” his opponent’s king or until a stalemate or draw results.
I saw only one huge hand, not two in this game of strategy. And though there is conflict and movement between opposing forces of Light and Darkness,  I was impressed as I saw these “pieces” being moved into place, that the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY has already prevailed. King Jesus has already won, and that the “king” (prince of darkness) was confined within his “square” and could not move freely (or direct his “pieces”) unless the hand of Almighty God allowed it.
I was given this scripture: “Thy right hand, O Lord, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath dashed in pieces the enemy. And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble”; Exodus 15:6-7
Many of the Lord’s people are in a season of transition; they are being directed and led by the hand of Almighty God into strategic places. And this is a test for them, a walk of faith. We are being tested to see how we will respond under a variety of circumstances.
Each one of us is learning to depend upon Him for our protection and provision. Will we trust Him when He moves us and will we pass the test as we wait for Him to show us the next step in our journey?
The word “checkmate” in the game of chess is the move that describes what
I saw and I know that ONE KING has already prevailed over this “Endgame”.
To HIM BE THE GLORY!
