Holy Spirit Led Me To This For Healing: Fasting Vs. Eating Less: What’s The Difference? (Science of Fasting)

I was asking Father about why this stronghold over my life with the thyroid gland and even when on medication it did nothing. It started in 1993 and by 1999 I was one step from thyroid induced come; yes, it got that bad and had to go to MD Anderson Hospital. They operated on a nodule I had and was sent home and I thought that would be the end of it; well, this was going to start a whole other chapter for years in my life. Read on.

Well I was healed from having to take the meds for it a few years ago but was constantly attacked and literally I could eat nothing and balloon up 5 lbs in a day. I gave up after 20 plus years of fighting this horrendous battle. I worked out constantly with a trainer (it was free at a gym I joined) at the time and gained quite a bit of weight, I did the American Heart Diet, many other diet plans and nothing. I always took care of myself and was in good shape but this started in 1993 and now I am so tired of it I want my life back. I look in the mirror and I truly do not recognize myself at all; that is how long this has been going on destroying my life. I said “God, this is not me and I want the real me back and has not 20 + years been long enough yet”.

I felt as long as satan and his minions can continue to keep this stronghold over me I will never be free and what happened in the interim is that it caused my metabolism to completely shut down (too many years of this took its toll physically, mentally and spiritually). When the Holy Spirit spoke I was told that satan did indeed have a stronghold on me for years (not the news I wanted to hear) so I prayed now to please release me and let my time come and everything satan put against me be returned unto me.  I want back what he stole from me! Most don’t understand this unbelievable struggle nor did they even care!

So last night I was still praising God even though I feel I have been run over by a truck multiple times lately and asked Him “when does my freedom come from this and I need your help to jump start my metabolism again” so I can get back on track and be “finally free”. So as I was listening to songs I was led to this video and it is sound and believe He just showed me what I must do and then He will help with the rest. I am going to step out in faith here and believe this will finally be what my body needed and holding onto His promises that He will help me too!

So is anyone stuck and no matter what you do you just can’t seem to drop weight no matter what you do, you feel cold or tired all the time because your metabolism won’t kick in? Biblically speaking it is good to fast for it cleanses our bodies and gives our organs a time to rest. Throw all those diet books out!!! I pray this helps some of you and also for me too!! I posted comments because I needed affirmation instead of me going on another endless road to nowhere again so here are some and I will try this now. Anyone care to join me and send in your testimony later in comment section?

Fasting = Not eating at all = No opportunities for companies to sell you you weight-loss cooking books, online programs, pills etc. That’s why you’ve never heard of this experiment before.

Upton Sinclair recommends doing quite long fasts – 12 days, but you may want to work your way up to longer fasts. Unless you are relatively keto adapted (or have experience with fasting of course), it’s important that you take precautions while doing a fast. Fasting isn’t inherently dangerous, *but diving into fasting when your body is in no way geared for it can be.* I recommend doing more research before doing longer fasts.

“The Complete Guide to Fasting” (http://amzn.to/2tQjxXa) is a good book to start with. As Tim Ferriss puts it: Please don’t do anything stupid and kill yourself. It would make us both quite unhappy. Just in case I should also say that of course you need to balance fasting with eating – You need to survive off of something. I have been doing intermittent fasting the past year (22 hours fasted, 2 hours eating – you can widen it to 16/8, which still provides great benefits) and will fast for a couple days every other month or so. Several other people have recommend a routine like this –

Tim Ferriss recommends doing a 3 day fast once per month and a 7 day fast once per year. Also make sure you’re getting enough fat, protein, micronutrients and fiber to maintain a healthy weight and healthy body – *excessive* fasting can be very dangerous.
