Regression Can Have Eternal Consequences!

by jcsouthwest

Regression in this context, is turning back to your former ways after knowing the truth and being filled with the Holy Spirit.  You are aware of what will and won’t inherit the kingdom, but you chose to walk away and hold hands with Satan!  You are enticed by the world all the time and have taken off your Armor.

You would rather be like everyone else that has the appearance of being happy on the outside.  You become lazy and no longer examine yourself.  You don’t feel the need to repent anymore, as now you’ve decided to accept the demonic doctrine of “Once Saved, Always Saved”!

You even joined the local church with all of its deadness, just so you can participate in all of the festivities they offer.  You are now convinced that there’s nothing wrong with doctrines of demons, sugar coated messages or seeker-friendly church services.  Look what they offer, what could be wrong with it?  Such goodies like: snacks, online books, beverages, cds, movies, live streaming.   Their parking lot is always full, so it must be ok?  They help the poor, so they must be ok?

You participate in all of the pagan Holidays, as it makes you feel good for a little while and your church sanctions them.  You try to convince yourself that these things are accepted by the masses, so it’s ok to do them:   Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, Trick or Treat, etc.  Always remember, evil is still evil even when it wears a nice outfit!  Demons can and do disguise themselves as angels of light!  You’ve convinced yourself that the Lord is fine with Pagan practices and choose to not look in the Holy Bible for the study word “Pagan”, as you are afraid of what you will see.

You now prefer to chant or read back pre-printed prayers offered in the church as a group;  it’s deadness becomes a ritual.

Always remember, it’s a choice to repent and accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.   You don’t earn the salvation, as it’s freely given to all.  You can choose to keep Jesus in your life, or walk away from him and go back to known sin.  Salvation is not taken away from you,  you choose to remove it yourself through known acts of rebellion and not repenting. The Holy Spirit isn’t taken away from you,  you send it away yourself by reverting back to a state of rebellion with no more repentance.  Jesus told us that narrow is the way and how wide the path is that leads to destruction;  many prefer to go down the wide path. Jesus didn’t come here to condemn us, we condemn ourselves by choosing to walk away from him!

Hebrews 6:1-12 (HCSB) “Warning Against Regression”

Therefore, leaving the elementary message about the Messiah, let us go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, faith in God, teaching about ritual washings, laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.  And we will do this if God permits.

For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, became companions with the Holy Spirit,  tasted God’s good word and the powers of the coming age,  and who have fallen away, because, to their own harm, they are recrucifying the Son of God and holding Him up to contempt.  For ground that has drunk the rain that has often fallen on it and that produces vegetation useful to those it is cultivated for receives a blessing from God.  But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is worthless and about to be cursed, and will be burned at the end.

Even though we are speaking this way, dear friends, in your case we are confident of the better things connected with salvation.  For God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you showed for His name when you served the saints—and you continue to serve them.  Now we want each of you to demonstrate the same diligence for the final realization of your hope,  so that you won’t become lazy but will be imitators of those who inherit the promises through faith and perseverance.

2 Timothy 4:3 (HCSB)

For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new.

Matthew 7:13-20  (HCSB)

“Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it.  How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.

“Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves.  You’ll recognize them by their fruit. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles?  In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit.  A good tree can’t produce bad fruit; neither can a bad tree produce good fruit.  Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  So you’ll recognize them by their fruit.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (HCSB)

For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— not from works, so that no one can boast.

John 3:16-18 (HCSB)

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God.

1 Peter 4:18 (HCSB)

And if a righteous person is saved with difficulty,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (HCSB)

The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of false miracles, signs, and wonders,  and with every unrighteous deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved.

For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false, so that all will be condemned—those who did not believe the truth but enjoyed unrighteousness.

Stand strong for the truth, even know it may offend many.  I already know many will be offended by this post, as it mentions Pagan practices that many are fond of.
