Love Is The Way To Be God’s Ministers Because He is LOVE! Let Us Follow How Jesus Walked

Paul said we should covet the best gifts, but there is “a more excellent way” to be God’s ministers. Because the love of God has been shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost, I say:

I endure long. I am patient and kind. I am never envious. I never boil over with jealousy.

I am not boastful or vainglorious. I do not display myself haughtily. I am not conceited–arrogant and inflated with pride.

I do not insist on my own rights or my own way. I am not self-seeking.

I am not touchy or fretful or resentful. I take no account of the evil done to me–I pay no attention to a suffered wrong.

I do not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but I rejoice when and right and truth prevail.

I bear up under anything and everything that comes. I am ever ready to believe the best of every person. My hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and I endure everything (without weakening).

God’s love in me never fails–never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end.

(found this long ago and sharing and think it was from some church I went to long ago but not sure but there is no author’s name on it)

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (KJV)

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

  1. Praise Yehushua!

    Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.1 John 4:7‭-‬9‭, ‬16 KJV

  2. Amen. In this time period, we need to know that true love (the God-kind of love) is defined above in 1 Corinthians 13 of the Holy Bible. This is Agape Love. Do not accept the twisted definitions of “love” that float around in the culture. Stick to the BIBLE in all things as a compass, and that especially includes the REAL definition of LOVE.
