Then you will desecrate your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, ‘Away with you!'” (Isa. 30:22). NIV

Wow Heavenly Father, thank You that You say things to shake us out of our slumber. You expect us to desecrate our idols! Google online defines “desecrate” as to treat (a sacred place or thing) with violent disrespect; violate. And an idol is ANY person or ANY thing that we love more than You. People will say, “Well, I don’t worship a statue or bow down to anything.” We may not literally, but what about the condition of our hearts? What do our actions / choices prove? Do we love these things more than we love You: Ourselves (self-idolatry), our ministry, our spiritual gifts, a family member, lover, friend, job, material item, social media… Does ANYTHING come between us and you? A lot of things in our lives are good and blessings. But if they hold a higher place in our hearts than You- then we need to do an honest assessment and make changes! Please help us to be truthful with ourselves – and respond to Your Spirit! May we treat the idols in our lives / hearts as we would a menstrual cloth! We will view it with disgust and throw it away immediately! We will say to our idols “Get away!” In Jesus’s holy name, amen.

YES THANK YOU JOLIE. GOD BLESS YOU!
